On this page, you'll see a few of my latest works. If you are looking for upcoming knives that may be available for purchase soon, I've made a new page for pre-ordering knives. Don't forget to look at the Featured Knives pages here. Most of the new works will have individual pages, with multiple photos and detailed descriptions of the knives, sheaths, cases, stands, and ideas related to the project.

Please click on the thumbnail photos; these are some of my most recently created works.

Here are some of my latest writing, projects, and news:
  • A list of new topics! People have asked repeatedly what is the newest topic, page, or idea I've developed on the website. They are interested not only in the knives I've created, but also the pertinent topics about blades, fittings, handles, displays, and the business of knifemaking. I have a link on the header of every page to the latest singular page I've added, but I didn't have links to the new topics I create and elaborate on every week! So, in the table below, I'll do that. I'll also include direct links to topics on the pages that have been upgraded with new information.

New For 2024!
  • I've added seven new pages, just to detail and describe all of the various Tactical Knife Sheath accessories. The Locking Tactical Knife Sheath Page itself has been entirely updated and has these important links.
  • There is an important new addition to my Hybrid Tension Sheaths, a Positive lock called a Tab-Lock. Take a look this exciting development on my Locking Tactical Knife Sheath Page
  • I offer Professional Knife Consultation, in this specialty field, business to business, organizational, military, and professional fields.
  • There are also the "regulars," updated every month, like the Knife Anatomy Page Definition List, and the Patterns page. Though I won't detail every single word and image updated, I also continually expand and refine the hundreds of subject discussions on the site.
  • You've no doubt by now noticed the "Counterterrorism Knives" page on the site. For years, I've kept this quiet, but it shouldn't surprise you to know that I make custom CT knives for some of the very top counterterrorism units in the world, with their direct input, and it's a great honor. These include the Israeli YAMAM units, widely considered to be among the very, very best.
  • New processes, materials, and designs? You bet! Working on casting urethanes, anodizing alloys, and dive-ready sheaths and mounts. New and fantastic Chef's Knives Available and huge sculptural projects on the way! Stay tuned!
  • The site now has over 700 pages!, including restricted pages. These are real pages, featuring thousands of my knives, sole authorship, collaborative knives, and thousands and thousands of meaty, detailed photographs. I know of no other knife maker who has ever lived that has such a voluminous, detailed, and information rich web site. How do I do this? I work on it every day. This means that there is always something new, more information, and more knives!
  • Shows: People always ask where and when I might be doing a show. I don't do shows anymore. In fact, the last show I attended was the Knifemaker's Guild Show in 2005! The Guild requires that voting members attend one show every third year. Because of this rule, I resigned from the Knifemaker's Guild back in 2007. I enjoyed my 19 years in the Guild, but I have too many commitments to clients, and too long of a waiting list to be able to take the time to attend shows. There was a time when I did 13 shows a year, and every moment was spent either preparing for shows or travelling to them. For professional knife makers like myself, those days are passing. The internet has changed all that, and now you can see everything I'm making, new projects, get much more information than a knife show right here on my web site. JayFisher.com is my show! For guys that need serious face time, please know that you can arrange a visit to my studio, or even meet me using teleconferencing, Zoom for media, Google Meeting, or Apple FaceTime.
  • My book on the modern handmade and custom knife is coming along, albeit slowly due to a tremendous amount of commitments to my clients and patrons. Also, I'm constantly coming up with new chapters and insights, so I don't know where it will all end!

Thanks for being here!
