Blade: ATS-34 High Chrome-Molybdenum Stainless Tool Steel, Hardened and
Tempered to Rockwell C58, mirror polished
Fittings/Bolsters: 304 Stainless Steel, mirror polished, hand engraved by Jay Fisher, bright finish
Handle: Polished Geodic Agate
Sheath: Black Stingray Skin Inlaid in Hand-Tooled 9-10 oz. Leather Shoulder
Knife: The Ruidoso is named for a
beautiful little town in the southeast mountains of New
Mexico. The design is one of my most popular, as it
is a comfortable, elegant, and sleek, a true gentleman's knife. The ATS-34 makes
this a tough as well as beautiful knife, perfect for
carry or your collection. It features a fully tapered
tang, with full filework from spine to choil. The
bolsters are super-tough and corrosion resistant 304
Stainless Steel, with 25% chromium and 8% nickel. Few engrave 304 stainless, as it is so tough and hard,
but these are elegantly engraved with a brigh flourish
pattern. The handle material is a hard polished agate,
the center of a small geode, and features bands of
white, cream, and tan, and is luscious to hold and will well outlast the knife! The glassy smooth agate
scales are bookmatched.
Sheath: The sheath has five inlays
of black stingray skin in hand-carved 9-10 oz. leather
shoulder, lacquered and polished and stitched with tough
black nylon.
